Friends

It is so good to spend time with friends. When our friends move out of the area and come back to visit it is especially sweet. My dear friend Renee is in town for a few days so of course I had to get a few portraits of her while she was still here. She and her daughter Molly visited with me for a while today and here are a couple of their photos.

Cincinnati Baby Girl

Sweet, sweet baby girl! It seems like forever since I photographed a baby girl. Every one seems to have had boys lately. Mommy Liz asked me for a couple of specific set ups for six month old Juliana. We got the ones she wanted first, then played around a little outside for something different. She was not nearly as happy outside. With the heat wave this summer she really hasn’t spent time in the yard. Here’s a preview, enjoy!

Taylor HS Senior

I had the great pleasure of photographing Jim, Taylor High School Senior. Jim plays several musical instruments, especially guitar, which he plays for his church band. He is also a dedicated athlete, and rode in on his bike for our session. Mom had to have a portrait on his bike because she said that was how she sees him most often! That’s right. I have another (!) new domain! I thought it made more sense to stay with something familiar and I guess I just wasn’t thinking too clearly in the panic mode yesterday when my website address yielded NADA!

Now I need to figure out how to map the new .NET domain to my existing website and of course link this blog to it properly. Yikes! I’m not as geeky as I wish I was!

Rant! Domain name stealers!

Well, my procrastination has now left me without the correct domain name! My HollyYurchisonPhotography dot com name expired and since I had the renewal reminder coming to an email I no longer use, I neglected to renew it in time and now someone else owns it. Of course they are not using it, just keeping it so I will have to pay them $60 to buy it back. That may be small potatoes to some of you but at this moment in my life, not to me.
So! That means the only thing left for me to do is to change my site, my email addresses, any media that has the old site address on it, etc! My new website address will be www.HollyYPhotography.com, but I don’t have an email connected to it yet. Who knew that domains no longer had one free email address?!
For the time being, I guess my gmail account will have to do. I sure wish I understood all this better!
